1 Peter / Faithful Exiles

In the first century, the Apostle Peter wrote a letter to Christians facing persecution and marginalization in the midst of a hostile Roman empire. By reminding them of their identity in Christ, he helps them know how to live faithfully in the midst of a world set against them. Today, the Church faces a similar world. We are exiles on the margins. The way of Jesus is very different from the way of our world. Peter’s words will help us learn what it means to walk as faithful exiles who follow the way of Jesus and provide a beautiful and compelling witness to our hurting world.
