Wisdom from Above

We live in a seeming “golden age” of technology and information. Yet, even with almost unlimited information and powerful tools like AI at our finger tips, there’s an extreme drought of wisdom. While we can easily find answers to almost any question imaginable, all the information and technology in the world doesn’t give us true wisdom. Only with wisdom from above can we find out how life was meant to be lived and become complete, lacking nothing. Only with wisdom from Jesus can we find happiness in life and joy in the midst of pain. James, Jesus’ brother and leader of the early church in Jerusalem, writes this letter, a series of wisdom lessons rooted in the teachings of Jesus, to Jewish Christians scattered around the Roman world to remind them of the teachings of Jesus and help them live with wisdom from above.
